It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have been successfully scaled.

We're talking about the unit that has won seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and earlier maintained 1,294 days undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the highest in the women's 50-over format, is, in truth, a testament to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over five decades.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy hit 170 against England in the final and was declared player of the series. She ensured her country would not come up short.

If this latest epic knock topped that previous effort is debatable.

Certain people claim the argument supporting final game tension. Some might respond with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to see coming.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this performance was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it was a frustrating experience because it seemed my form was missing whatsoever," commented Healy.

"However when you enter the playing area, your competitive instincts kick in and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's competitive nature has continuously been her major advantage - and an invaluable trait in taking over from legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was tormented by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in last month's ODI series, dismissed by the emerging pace bowler in every game, but this time it merely gave Healy's motivation.

A single was taken off the bowler's initial ball and from there the batsman was on her way.

"An opportunity to play and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, sort of got me going," stated Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the World Cup - and her hundred in 84 as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three big hits.

Once she was out her side needed 66 additional runs at run per delivery - an achievable target now needing a comfortable finish.

"To chase 330 is new territory so I am glad we have the assurance to do that now," stated Healy further.

"Ideally we won't need to do it another time but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the last Australia's opponents at this championship want to hear.

In recent days a belief they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this triumph coming after success over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

It was at that stage they exited last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - a match Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she wanted to have participated through the pain.

Yet even as she later admitted those injuries have postponed plans to retire, this tournament is anticipated as her final tournament as skipper in ODI cricket and she is still to achieve a global event as skipper.
